Recommend a private RLS specialist
Prof Ray Chaudhuri at King’s College hospital & Guy Leschziner at Guy’s & St Thomas’s both do private work & both are knowledgeable about RLS.
Hi Ray, I wrote a post a year or so ago asking this but I don't know how to find it. I can't remember where specialists were located, but lots of kind people replied so it might be helpful to look under my posts.
Apologies, I thought I had posted this information but obviously not!
I have a short list of medics in London, that forum members have recommended in the past.
Dr Alanna Hare - member of sleep clinic NHS/Private Brompton Hospital, London
Dr Graeme Wilson NHS Charing Cross/St Marys Hospital
Professor Bhatia's Clinics NHS Institute of Neurology Queens Square
Prof Anita K Simonds, Consultant in Resp/Sleep Medicine NHS Royal Brompton, Chelsea
Guy Leschziner, Consultant Neurology NHS London Bridge Hospital/Guys
Dr Peter Venn, Consultant/Sleep Medicine NHS Queen Victoria Hospital

Prof Matthew Walker, Neurological Sleep Disorders
Thats bloomin amazing thankyou! do you know if i'd need to be referred or if i can make contact directly? any advice would be great, this is all new to me,
You can usually self refer to private neurologists so contact their secretaries.
If you’ve never had any treatment for RLS then please spend a while reading up on this website to make sure you know your options. Some people can resolve their RLS without meds by taking iron supplements or magnesium. Others need meds.
Can’t comment on all the names, but Guy Leschziner was great. I’ve seen other neurologists specialising in sleep disorders since (I suffer from PLMD as well as RLS) but certainly not as good.
