Unfortunately, not so simple.
Firstly, the mechanism described for carrying molecules across the BBB might have a limit to what size those molecules can be and iron molecules may not be that small.
Tennwalker also posted a link to an article recently

which studied a family who had RLS, but also apparently had an excess of brain iron rather than a lack. The study suggested with RLS there is a disturbance with the mitochondria in brain cells and hepcidin, which might be the source of the problem, rather than a problem with BBB transport itself.
Getting more iron into the brain might cause more harm than good. Iron "plaques" can accumulate. The gold standard for raising brain iron, iron infusions might actually be dangerous.
