Fibromyalgia?
Hello,Im new on here.
I have restless leg syndrome since having fibro.
I used to take Amitriptyline for them both ,it was great for the first year but now Ive had to stop them for now to find out if my bladder pain is a side effect.x
Hello, welcome to our forum. You are very lucky if you have taken Amitriptyline and it worked for your RLS. That anti-depressant is one of the worse for almost everyone who has RLS.
Oh, i missed seeing this one ookla. I dont have fibro, cant help you. Put fibro in the search on here, i think some have fibro on here.
Yes I reluctantly want to confirm I have them. Mainly because I think they are going to go! As if by magic or with a great deal of thinking, giving up, determination or God. But I do notice a link between IBS, dairy and gluten intolerant, fibromyalgia and RLS and for me depression. Lately having bladder infections and pain as well.
I'm so grateful for all your advise and support. My GP gave me a medical certificate in case I felt too bad in the morning but I managed to go to work! Slept well and in the morning felt rested but sonk sleepy. Crawled out of bed and managed to be at work just a few minutes late. It does not help that I have a teenage son that does not want to go to sleep, or wake up or go to school or study, so mornings are never easy. But felt not so down. I in general don't eat very well and It is very bad. So I am going to try to eat better. It's Friday and with the weekend to rest I am feeling more hopeful.
For years I didn't want to take any medication but started taking Trimipramine 10 mg nightly 3 years ago after having insomnia on and off for a couple of years. I have mostly slept well since but still have the pain and fatigue. Recently saw a locum doctor who said Amytripaline was now commonly.used for FM. However was put off by reading side effects so I am sticking with the Trimiprsmine as only 10mg which is only a fifteenth of the maximum dose which can be taken for depression. I.hope you.feel better with the Amytripaline but if not maybe could ask about Trimipramine. I have had FM for 23 years and managed to work part timefor last 14 year's. I am now not working due to redundancy and feel worse than I did when working but cannot get a job which starts after midday. I feel too ill to work in the mornings. Hope things improve for you.
