By prioritizing mental health support and interventions, we can alleviate suffering, reduce stigma, and promote resilience. I just use therapeutic tools. I have also a Reiki life style, completing Karuna and Usui Master. In addition professional qualification in art therapy for self help. I have been using art throughout my recovery. Despite a chronical mental health condition I only use plant medicine. I meditate and practice yoga daily.

Are you talking about 'shrooms? If so, hard pass. I lost my mind once to encephalitis. I would rather not lose it again.

I would be happy to pursue experimental therapies if possible. I'll like to know how it works and the possible effects. I am open to unconventional treatments if offered one.

Depends what the treatments are , what the cost is and what people call alternative . As a child my Mum had serious mental health issues and was a guinea pig for a variety of drugs , injections and ECT . My sister now has almost identical issues but has only been offered medication via the NHS . We would love the opportunity to try anything new and different but because of her illness she has never been able to afford to pay but she feels a cocktail of drugs is her only choice . When are we going to see alternatives available to NHS patients as I can't see any progress - in fact Mum had better swifter access than my sister who ends up doing something scary and drastic as her learnt method of getting a bed .

Look up the FLOW device. It works on mild electrical stimulation of the prefrontal cortex. It is run by an app on your phone and a headset. It has helped my depression a lot.

You may want to consider Trying genetic testing through Myogenes. It gives a rang of psych drugs that your body can tolerate. However a word of caution. The drug may be compatible to your genetics however extremely difficult to wean off later!

Thanks, already tried that, unfortunately although your body may tolerate a drug well, it does not mean it will work for you for TRD. Once I got the list I realized I had already tried a lot on the list

Are they readily available to the general public, doubtful, would be outside the realms of NHS, so the ordinary person, would not be affordable? I am asking for help on Mental Health as I am terminally ill, I have made my Will, but asking my GP for.......?

Counselling may be helpful. Bach remedies may help at this stage. It won’t make things better however may help you be more accepting and make peace with your past. A lot depends on how you are feeling now. There are 38 remedies that tap into various personality types and emotions. Have found they are extremely helpful. Australian bush remedies are good as well.

I have come to terms that I have at least three chronic terminal medical conditions, and that I will not be cured, no remedies will help me, its telling my relatives of the full extent of my 'conditions' and it just a matter, how much time, I could go anytime🀫, I don't want them all around me, trying to console me, I have always been restricted by my bad health throughout my life, presently going through a 'good patch', feeling okay at present, I want to get out and enjoy what time I have left!

That sounds like a good idea.

kinesiology and fire cupping has helped. Nutrition and herbal supplements. However it’s expensive to keep this up. Not everyone can take HRT and then you are lost in the NHS system.

I value this discussion but many therapies mentioned are costly . Long term illness for many means money is short and travel limited . Confidence is an issue and I feel more than anything people need people more so to take them out of the house . Occupy their crowded overthinking minds with distraction via meaningful activities . This for us as a family has been seriously overlooked .

I am all for participation in mental health care trials.I am just about to start a trial of ketamine for depression in tablet form over 42 days in Adelaide, Australia.

Studies are required for testing a new drug's benefits and risks by taking tablets at home instead of by IV in a clinic

Before you give consent to participate, always make sure that you know the purpose, procedures, benefits, risks, discomforts and precautions associated with the study.

It helps to consult with your doctor and family too.

Only sign up when you are comfortable that you understand the study.
