Stopped smoking

Is has been about a moth since I stopped smoking but about 2 weeks ago I started tasting blood . I see other comments about something similar but the blood that I am tasting is not from my gums it feels like is the back of my throat can any help

Hi Jongo, well done on stopping smoking! Yes, a funny metallic taste in the mouth is a common short term side effect when you quit. There are lots of other, what we call "symptoms of recovery"! But they are generally short-lived and you could use mouth wash as RosaS suggests or sugar-free mints to freshen the mouth. Or even book in to have your teeth cleaned at your dentist or hygienist, now you will no longer be building up nicotine stains. And of course if you are in Hampshire you will be welcome to go back and see your Quit4Life adviser for reassurance, to help you stay stopped. Good luck.
