So Harry, what has 16 balls and sings?....

I don't know Oscar, what has 16 balls and sings?....

Harry, it's a quartet.

Wait a minute Oscar, you're so stupid a quartet does not equal 16 balls, it's only 8 balls.

I know, one is a Tenor, Harry.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

Had to read this twice and it still does not add up. Oh well back to my Sunday comics!

I hate to explain my humor, but here I go:

2 X 3 = 6 + 1 (10-er) = 16 <----<<<

John your humor is the best medicine. I look forward to reading your comments. You brighten my our day and my Doberman, Skye feels the same way.

I was always wondering what ever happened to Doberman from the sgt. Bilko/Phil Silvers Television show (way before your time). Thanks for the update.

Kind of remember that show and having to go with my grandfather to the local Rexall drug store to get replacement tubes for the TV and how he always cautioned me about never touching the high voltage section of the TV. Yep those were the good old days when you actually fix broken things.

Hate to say this my Dobermans are better good looking, sleeker and can sing better. I have owned and trained Dobermans for over 40 years. I recently acquired a Berger Picard and she is a totally different story.

Yep the good old days...... I really miss them.

I always remember Dobermans as being very obedient and following commands. I can remember them "healing" while being walked along NYC street curbs. Beautiful and sleek. Never saw one overweight.

The Berger Picard is a lanky herding dog of strong bone and sturdy build. Picards spent centuries as take-charge independent problem-solvers, so early socialization and positive training are necessary to cope with their stubborn streak.

You can spot a Berger Picard a mile away thanks to his erect ears standing 4 to 5 inches high, a wavy fawn or brindle coat, and a strong tail that tapers to a distinctive J-hook. Males stand as high as 26 inches, and females as low as 21 inches. The eyes are dark and glistening, and the rectangular head is furnished with shaggy eyebrows, beard, and mustache' the very image of a sagacious and worldly Frenchman. The Berger Picard is an ideal companion for athletic owners. Their rugged constitution, agility, and boundless energy make them eager partners in all kinds of sports, games, and outdoor pastimes. Exercise is a must; prolonged idleness and neglect will likely lead these sensitive, super-smart dogs to destructive behavior.

Way different than a Doberman.

Yep that describes is Addy.

She also has a unique requirement. In the AM when she goes out or when she comes into the house she insists on receiving a hug every time. It took me awhile to be trained but she worked on this until I understood her need to be hugged.

She really loves to be outside. She loves the cold weather and snow is her favorite thing. Having been trained by the Dobermans she is an amazing watch dog. Her hearing is super sensitive by comparison to the Dobes.

She really improved my dog train skills. Unlike the Dobes you get about three repetitions or about 10 minutes max to train a skill so you have to have truly mastered your training technique and practiced every aspect from voice, hand movements, etc. So training in short sessions is a must.

Not a dog for a novice trainer or someone who does not enjoy physical exercise everyday. The latter is a must!
