Sensation changes post radiation

Hi. I’m about 18 months post SBRT for intermediate favorable risk Pca. Minimal side effects so far. Recently I had a drop of dilute blood in my shorts and last few weeks am having occasional sensation changes like feeling I need to clench up to avoid dribbling even though bladder is empty. Normal? Need further investigation? I’m really appreciative for the help I’ve had from tall Allen and rest of the group.

Very Normal. Called "late term" symptoms. I had to take Rapaflo for a few weeks. I still get the occasional drops of blood as scar tissue sloughs off.

Thanks! Comforting to hear from you. Are the sensory changes normal too?

I took Rapaflo to get more complete emptying.

Hi TA!I have been on Tamsolusin for a few years.

I have terrible Dry Mouth as a side effect.

Did you have any suggestions or experience of what I may experience if I stop taking this medication?

I follow your posts religiously and hope this is not an annoying question.

Do you still need it? What happens if you stop taking it?

I get a full emptying. Seems to be a sensory change. That normal?

From reading here and my own experience, it seems to me there is a variation among SBRT patients post-treatment re urinary issues. I had BPH symptoms (including a Urolift) for many years prior to diagnosis and then radiation therapy. Took Flomax for years, too. Recovery from urinary symptoms took longer than I expected, including urgency and incomplete emptying. I’m a year and a half out, and still making progress. Kegel exercises are helpful. Stay the course.
