Wow I'm 33wks and feeling so uncomfortable when breathing. My chest feels likes it going to burst if I take a deep breath. Did have this prob with my 1st pregnancy but not as bad. Can give me headaches sometimes. Worse when I sit down or after dinner. Has anyone else experienced this? If so any tips to get me through the next few wks?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you are feeling discomfort - you can call the NCT helpline on 0300 330 0700 to speak to one of our Antenatal teachers who will be able help and to give you support.

Hope you manage to have a more comfortable few weeks!

Best wishes,

Alice x

I'm finding that my lungs feel really uncomfortable now. At 27 weeks, if I laugh for too long or too hard, my chest hurts as though I'm suffocating and I get pains all the way into my shoulders, also if I have a big yawn! But only sometimes though. I guess it depends on where he's sat.

I try to sit up straight, which helps sometimes, but sadly not always. Also, if I change position, sometimes he moves too, which usually helps a lot!

I hope your little one moves away from your lungs and gives you a break! X
