I've been breastfeeding for 2 months and my nipples are sore and looking cracked. Any suggestions on how to ease the pain?

I had the same issue when my DS was about 3 months. Switching sides helped and I went through loads of tubes of lanolin! Good luck, you'll get through it

Sore nipples in the early days of breastfeeding are quite common, and often can be helped by changing the way your baby latches on. Have a look at this page on our website - hope it helps! nct.org.uk/parenting/breast...

Hi all, thanks for your suggestions. I dashed out and bought a tube of lanolin...its a lifesaver! Would recommend to any mum trying to breastfeed. Brilliant advice...am sure I'm going to be back here for more top tips soon
