Bit of a random question here guys. Did anyones animals i.e dogs/cats/horses, know that you were pregnant before you did? My dog would not leave me alone and kept laying in between my legs resting his head on my lower tummy. 🥰

I didn't have any pets at the time but we would visit my parents regularly and my mum had a cat who adored women. When I visited he would not leave my side. I couldn't go anywhere without my mum's cat following me! He was never a cat to sit on your lap but when I was 20 weeks he sat on my lap and wrapped himself around my little bump. As I got towards the end of my pregnancy, his behaviour became strange even when I wasn't there. He kept going places that were up high or getting into small spaces. My mum reckons he knew that birth would be soon. When I had my Son the strange behaviour stopped and as soon as my little one was moving around he would guard and be protective towards him. My mum's cat died before I became pregnant with my second son so we never knew if his strange behaviour would have happened again.

One of my cats was so sweet, she slept on top of me (so cute!) through my whole pregnancy and was always looking after me. She was pretty annoyed with me when were brought my little girl home though, the sense of betrayal was real 😂😂 xxx

Aww bless her, yeah cats have a strong six sense. Not sure how my fur babies will react when I introduce their little brother or sister xxx

I think one of my cats knew. The week leading up to me finding out she just wouldn't leave me alone, constantly meowing and cuddling me. She is affectionate anyway but it was a whole new level. My boy cat hasn't been bothered at all but she's been really fussy all the way through

I think my sister in laws dog knew - before I found out I was pregnant, we were round their house and he kept nuzzling up to me and standing next to me which he’d never been like around me before. Found out a few days later I was expecting so thought that must explain it!

Yup my cat definitely knew she slept on both of my bumps through my pregnancies and say with me through my early stages of labour
