Hi, unfortunately it’s unlikely that you will be able to produce much milk after such an extended break.

I would suggest you get in touch with something like the la leche league which is a charity that help with breastfeeding.I would say that if you are still producing milk that if you were to express regularly you may be able to build up your supply. You could then freeze this so you had breast milk to give baby when they come over. They may have lost the ability to suckle effectively after a few months not breastfeeding and bottle feeding, but if you have been expressing and storing milk they will still get the benefits of this.

The rule of 6 for breast milk is:6 hours room temp

6 days in the fridge

6 months in the freezer

It is possible to re-establish feeding and you may find it easier once baby is back with you. Try one of the breastfeeding support helplines x

Like comment above it is possible. Search for support. Power pumping might be the answer. Good luck, I can't imagine how much you miss your baby.

Power pumping means electric breast pump?

I don't know the details but saw it mentioned on various breastfeeding forums, I'm sure Google has that information somewhere. It's a type of pumping to up your supply.I also found this article that may help: laleche.org.uk/relactation-...

Good luck!
