If you're concerned then probably best to contact your midwife or GP and get checked over.
Hello, i had high BP through out my pregnancy. If it is consistently high then they have to put you on medication as it eventually develops to preclampsia. Mine was high from the beginning but not consistent when i reached to week 34 it remained high and doctors put me on medication after monitoring for 48 hours. My heart rate was always high like 120 as well. When i reached to week 36 my liver function started to elevate and i was induced on week 38 due to liver function. Most important is that you should not have protein in your urine. I used to get tested everyweek something 2-3 times a week for protein. All the best . Please seek immediate medical advise to have a healthy pregnancy thanks
Forgot to add that my ecg and heart scan was done to make sure everything is fine. Best part was Baby was growing fine. You will have to do montly growth scan or whenever required and High BP intervenes baby growth
Are you taking asprin daily? I had it recommended to lower my BP
It is becoming quite common for women to have high BP during pregnancy, even at the beginning of pregnancy. I think you need to call your midwife immediately since the BP can shoot up during your third semester. I am also in that case, and am medicated with labetalol for high blood pressure since the end of my second semester of my pregnancy. I am closely monitored by the hospital, the blood pressure team takes my blood and urine every week and does scan my baby. It is very important that you contact your midwife and arrange an appointment with the blood pressure team of the hospital where you will give birth. If you are checking your blood pressure at home , continue to do so, since your readings might help the team to calibrate your medicine intake. Good luck and let us know how it goes x
