Is this a leap?

For the last week, our lo who is 1 on Thursday has been waking at some point during the night anywhere between 9pm and 3 am and not settling down for between 1.5 and 2 hours. Historically sleep has been bad but has improved significantly from about 7.5 months but seems to have deteriorated slightly. I’m not complaining as it’s much better but wondering about the cause and whether it’s short term!!
