I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I've just been put on medication for high blood pressure. I feel far worse being on the tablets than I do not being on them but maybe my body just needs time to adjust to them? I had a look on Google (😬) and it's less dangerous for baby having low BP rather than high BP

I had high blood pressure with both my children at the end of my pregnancies. But I was completely asytompmatic apart from the high bp. I ended up having my little ones as my blood pressure wouldn't stabilise on the drugs. My first baby was induced because I was already 40 weeks and my second my elective csection was brought forward and I had him at 37 weeks. Once I had my babies my blood pressure did go back to normal after a few weeks.

Hi lovely,

I started getting high blood pressure around 32 weeks and was put on labetalol -it made me feel horrible at first too! I was in and out of hospital and the dose was gradually increased and again it made my body feel awful, but you do get used to them eventually, you may just need a couple of sofa days - that’s what I did 😊
