Best time for expressing milk

My baby is EBF and I would like to start expressing milk too and store it for when we go out when is the best time to express milk? TIA x

Hi there, our milk is most rich at night time which is why BF babies tend to wake and feed more at night. Obviously this is the time we'd least like to be sat up in bed expressing, however that is when our milk is at its best. The best time for you is completely individual, you may get the most relief first thing in the morning. It also might depend how you want to express.

Personally I express while baby feeds. Baby is on one side and I have a haakaa on the other. You can get a pair of unbranded ones on amazon for £10.
