Hello,

LO is now being put on SMA Alfamino.

Did you switch completely or gradually?

What’s the best way to make it up as well? Boiling water, formula and cooled? As I’ve read it can be a bit grainy 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is it also quite runny? Do I still need to add carobel like I did with normal formula?

Thanks 😊 xx

I think you need to speak to whoever prescribed you this again. You need to.completely straight away, otherwise you can't tell if the new formula works better as still giving the old too. Just.follow the instructions on how to make it.

Carobel is used for reflux rather than cmpa as to thicken the liquid so depends what they are suspecting. Personally, Might be worth trying the alfamino on its own for a few days and then adding carobel.
