Unusual rash on my inner thigh...any ideas?

Morning all, I have had an unusual rash on my inner thigh just above my knee on my left leg. I am 26 +5 weeks pregnant with my first and so I went to the doctors last Monday to get it checked out. She said it was likely to be contact dermatitis and ghat my skin was just more sensitive because of the pregnancy and to just treat it with Vaseline and keep it clean. I have tried to wear loose fitting clothes and be careful with the soaps I’m using in the shower. But the only really change has been that it now has a purple tinge to the rash. It isn’t itchy unless you rub a finger across the surface. I have bumps on my thighs on a regular day so the skin around the rash looks normal for me.

Has anyone else had a similar experience and is it something I should be worried about?
