Could you give us the brand/size or any other specifications? Thanks a lot; I’m so confused with what to buy for my LO. She’s 17 months old and has never used a pillow 😀xx

I just got a silent night one from Asda that’s for a cot bed x

Oh wow, how did she get in with it? When did you introduce blanket/quilt?

I’m thinking this autumn/winter of introducing pillow to LG x

It actually helped her sleep better that’s why we try it. She has two pillows now as well. we also did duvet when she turned one and constantly wiggled it off but eventually stopped her from travelling all over the bed x

Thank you. I’m so scared of giving her a quilt more than a pillow. Just because she’s such a wriggly bum in bed, she’s all over the place. x

Same but it really helped stop her for wiggling plus the duvets are quite thin really xx

I read somewhere the other day that the current recommendation is 18 months

That’s definitely the more common age, working as a nanny most of my little ones never have a pillow or sheet until at least 18 months.

The NHS website and Lullaby Trust both say no duvets or pillows under the age of 1.

14 months, toddler pillow. No duvet, I still use sleeping bags even though my LG is in a toddler bed as I just find them easier to dress for the temp of the room.

Around 4 - 5 months - because he had been in hospital and had to sit up for his breathing - I continued this and he has two now (turns 1 this weekend. I just used normal pillows what I use for myself - not feather - and the dust free allergy ones.

My 19.5 month old is still happy with just sleeping bag and mattress.

What makes you think they need one?

My daughter is just over 16 months she has had hers for a new months now best thing ever! She sleeps so much better I knew it was time to give her one when all she wanted to do was lay on mine!

From birth, if I left my baby alone in the room, I always put a towel under his head, folded several times. I think that even the thinnest pillows are a little too big for a baby. Just lying on the mattress is not comfortable and firm. I want that it was soft for the baby. The eldest daughter is fond of anime. She is already an adult and chooses her own bed lining and the thickness of the pillows. We gifted her a body pillow for Christmas. We ordered a cool pillowcase for it on waifuforlaifu.com/pages/wai... for an affordable price. She was happy like a child.
