Recurrent bleeding - low lying placenta/placenta previa. Anyone have the same experience?

I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and have been in hospital twice due to bleeding. Low lying placenta was diagnosed at my 20 week scan, and I had to stay overnight this week due to heavy bleeding on Monday. I also had an early bleed at 9 weeks, but it was nowhere near as much but similar kind of thing - painless, bright red bleeding that starts without warning. I've been advised to be prepared for this continuing to happen and needing go back to hospital when it does, and I may baby may be delivered early if it continues to be a problem. Just looking to find out if anyone else has had a similar experience. Thank you.
