Hi lovely ladies!

I'm very excited to finally be preg after a year of trying :)) only about 6 weeks now, but the gp said i should just self refer to a hospital.. I'm based in Earlsfield so it's quite easy for me to get to Kingston (one train), but I've also heard good things about Chelsea & Westminster and feel it could be the better facility (but it will take longer to get to, x2 buses)... And I'm wondering, there must be loads of appointments that one goes to, so convenience is probably important too? Thoughts on either of these 2?? Thanks so much xNina

Hi! Congratulatuons!! It seems like forever doesnt it. I'm notnsure about your area but most things are getting done over the phone at the moment, bloods are being done at 12 week scan and then 20 week scan then no more until you see the midwife about 28 weeks. And that might be in the community rather than the hospital so willl only really need to go for 2 scans, and delivery. Doesnt seem much but it's the norm. Unless you are high risk and are consultant led then you are seen a but more often....hope this makes sense xx

Thanks for your reply!! :D Ok so there's not that many trips then, I may as well just go to the hospital which seems like the better facility but less convenient to get to, thanks again xx
