After a sweep

My due date is tomorrow! I had my sweep yesterday and she said the baby head was so far down it’s at the entrance and I won’t have long to push! After I had the sweep I kept on my feet all day and done lots of walking. I even came home and bounced on the ball for an hour! But still no sign!! I am having another sweep on Thursday. Does anyone have any tips what else I can try to start off labour?

Don't try and rush it. Have a nap and rest up. I so wish I'd slept more. I feel like I really took sleeping for granted before baby came. Or do a lot of batch cooking to freeze so you have tons to eat, I lived on chocolate hobnobs for the first few weeks as I didn't have anything quick and healthy to heat up during the day. Find a good thermos so you may be able to have a hot drink during the day without it going cold.

Best of luck xxx

Hi Kal,

I had my sweep yesterday as well, funny enough and another one booked for Thursday. I have done my walking, gym ball and sex and also no sign. It might help after 2. or 3. sweep apparently so fingers crossed for both of us.

Don’t exhaust yourself by constant walking, do have a daytime nap. Good luck xx
