Survivors of the 8 month sleep regression, please share your stories, how you coped and how long it lasted?
Coupled with leap 6, a suspected new tooth and now a horrible cold and fever, night time sleep is a thing of the past.
Please let us fellow regressers know the end is in sight (and there's 12 hours of sleep on the other side!)
*Crosses fingers* xx

Aw bless, the sleep regressions are hard! I’ve got a 20 month old and from August to late sept/early Oct she had sleep regression and I thought it would never end! Thankfully it does end so just hang in there xx
Our LG is 8 1/2 months, shes has 3 teeth in the last 3 weeks, separation anxiety. She is good as gold, untill night time, where she will have her normal routine, milk, as soon as we put her in bed, she’s sat up crying looking at the camera, but we have been leaving her and she has been sending herself back off too sleep.
As for the sleep regression, I think she hit that a little bit earlier 7 3/4 months. She was waking every night only for 1 week (which I know is nothing, but when she has slept through since 6 weeks, it’s a shock to the system) for 2-3 hours, gave her milk, which sometimes would send her back too sleep.
I find putting our pillows in her bed during day (so her bed will smell of us) by bedtime, really helps.
Teething she really has handled this well, nelsons teething granules we give her before bed and bonjela on her dummy.
It really is a hard time, but if you can help baby as much as you can.
LG was awake at 5.30 this morning (she normally gets up 7-8) she ended us falling asleep in her jumperoo, she was that tired.
It’s such a hard time, but remember there are really good times aswell x
In the same sleepless boat! My LB is 10 months tomorrow but has been been in sleep regression since 8 1/2 months, this last week has been especially bad as his top teeth are coming through and hes had a cold x I thought we had finally come to the end, but we've been up every hour since 2am!
The only thing that gets him back to sleep is a feed, hes bf, I've tried everything! And he rarely sleeps in the day so I cant catch any zzzz's then 🙄
I know this feeling I. going through it with my lb.... he nearly 10 months and been like this since 8 months...he has me up at half 1 2 for a bottle then goes back off.... some time he will wake every hour some times it will be every couple of hours..... I'm hoping it will be over soon though I doubt it will as he got a snotty nose and gets irritated by it.... hope your dont last to long for you xx
I thought we had cracked it, down to just twice a night, but have reversed to every hour or two again! 😳😳😴😴🤦♀️🤦♀️
Any advice, tried the hv but all they've suggested is the disappearing chair, the problem isnt getting him to sleep or sleeping in his cot, its him waking continually through the night! Xx
Omg same! 😆😩 We did a gentle Ferber for a few nights at the end of November and it worked! Once a night waking through December 👏 Then Christmas, change in routine and a few good old teeth set us back a bit, and these last few weeks waking every 2 hours and occasionally refusing to settle in the cot again around 4am ish.
He's one on March 18 and he's just getting the hang of crawling and sits up/stands in his cot and is desperate to walk, AND I think there's tooth 8 on the way, so I've been putting it down to that. I'm resigned to the fact it'll get better when it does. He'll sleep through/better when he's ready and there's nothing I can do to speed things up/change it! It's a tough pill to swallow!! 😂 Any one with better advice please do share!!! xx
