So my due date is only 10 days away but I literally have no energy due to my food coming straight out of me cause of how bad the diarrhoea is, also i hear so much trapped gas inside me and and im always burping those nasty egg tasing ones.. so far ive not felt any labour contractions which is a worry.. really need some advice on how to stop the diarrhoea as midwifes and doctors gave no medication and just told me to eat dry food and hopefully wait for it to clear which i have done but its now made much of a difference.

Hey, im 38+4 weeks pregnant, and ive been suffering from bad diarrhoea for the past 2 weeks, Helpp!
Hi didn’t want to read and not respond. I am assuming that the doctors and midwife have ensured that your baby is ok!? Am I wrong in assuming this might be your first baby!? I know it’s hard and that you feel awful and weaker by the day but unless they are concerned about you or the baby they are unlikely to do very much. Try not to worry to much about contractions your diarrhoea may be a sign of imminent labour but it could also just be a symptom of the stress or the hormones which come towards the end of pregnancy or a combination of both. Try to rest and keep eating I know it’s hard when it’s going straight through you but it’s important and maybe try high calorie drinks such as juice. That said trust your body and your instincts if you are worried call you midwife or the day assessment unit at your hospital and tell them what’s going on xxx
