Sorry, may be a really stupid question but a friend gave us some toys they are no longer using - some have batteries, some are just plastic with/ without stickers. Wondering how to clean and sterilize them properly for my little one without ruining them (especially TootToot plastic toys with batteries). We don't have a dishwasher. When working in America I used Lysol wipes but they don't have them over here. Are Dettol Antibacterial surface wipes or spray suitable or any other suggestions please? Many thanks

How to clean and sterilize baby/toddler toys with batteries without ruining them?
I read the Dettol wipes and they weren’t suitable but Milton do wipes specifically designed for baby stuff. I use them to clean second hand stuff too 😊 Although if you wanted to do it cheaper they sell tablets (as do the supermarkets too) and liquid and you could make up your own solution and wipe them with a new cloth and keep that just for that purpose x
Thanks Lovefood1984 I've never heard of Milton before. Just looked online wondering where they do them and a whole bunch of stores popped up from Tesco, Boots and Asda. Will be getting some wipes and the spray that's brilliant thank you. I guess Dettol is a brand I remember. Thanks for letting me know they're not suitable for baby stuff. Really handy to know you've been fab I'll feel more comfortable with buying second hand toys now. Much appreciated x
