Hi guys

I am for 40 weeks on Friday this week I’ve been having period pains all day and backache since last night do you think this means things are starting to happen ?

The midWife tried to do the sweep yesterday but the head wasn’t down in the pelvis yet! So she is going to try again on Thursday

I’m almost 39 weeks and being induced Friday. I’ve been having intense tightenings that hurt into my bottom. They’re frequent. They told me it was a good sign but when they attempted a sweep on me today baby’s head isn’t down far enough. Attempt no.2 for me on Thursday too xx

The period like pains sound reminiscent of my experience of early labour.

If baby is the wrong way round (mine was transverse and breech at different points at the end of pregnancy - 37 weeks) it’d be worth having a look at this website: spinningbabies.com; under the techniques section.

I did the forward leaning inversion

and, much to the consultants surprise, my baby turned the right way within 2 days.
