For the past 2 weeks I've been waking up really short of breath and feeling like my heart is really pumping. I've been sleeping on my left side and occasionally when I wake up in the night to turn over I feel the same. Is this a normal pregnancy symptom? Or should I be calling the midwife?

I had similar with shortness of breath, I went to the doctors as I was worried and they said this is a common symptom of pregnancy. The doctor said they would only usually worry about breathlessness related to blood cloths if you had chest pain or swelling of the hands and feet.
Mine seems to come and go, so maybe best just to keep an eye on other symptoms which you think might be related xxxx
I have the same, started weeks ago, I would suddenly wake up with such a heavy tight feeling on my chest and feel like I can't breath. My baby was breach for a weeks or so and the feeling got worse. Now at 37 weeks the baby has gone head down so is less pressure up top but I still have the same feeling but not as bad. Sometimes after eating too. I take Rennies which help a little.
