When did everyone’s babies learn to sit without falling back?

My little girl is nearly 7 months and we’re still not there yet we sit her up as she’s desperate not to be lying down anymore and she just falls back down in any direction

That’s normal start sitting from around 6 mths she’ll get there prop her up with cushions

I remember my niece took quite a while before she could sit on her own without being propped up with cushions. I'm pretty certain she was 9 months before she was steady, now a perfectly healthy 9 year old so I wouldn't worry.

Yeah kids take different amounts of time doing things both my kids where walking at 9 mths my cousin boy was over 18mths. They just do it at their own speed.

My little girl is the same if it makes you feel any better. She’ll be 7 months on the first of June and is nowhere near ready to sit, she likes to wiggle her legs, arch backwards, fold herself in two or reach for things miles away 😂 She ends up slumped at times in her high chair too ☹️ Her friend has just turned 7 months and has been confidently sitting for a few weeks now too, it’s so hard not to compare but they will all get there! She rolled front to back at 4 months but still shows no interest in going back to front either 🤷‍♀️ One day they will get moving and they will be trouble, just keep trying to help her like I do x

It was around 6-7 months. Just use a load of cushions to prop her up or you can buy a donut ring thing that she can sit in the middle of. It's also great for tummy time.

my lb is 4 months old and hates laying down I have to sit him up against me so he dont fall.... try one of those donut pillows they meant to be good xxx

Mine was just over 8 months when he sat on his own. I was worried about it but he is 19 months now and walking and running fine 😀. xx

Keep doing plenty of tummy time to strengthen her core muscles and that will help x
