So I've come over from the fertility network I was so very lucky to finally fall pregnant on our 3rd transfer ππ€ so from 6 weeks I've had pretty bad nausea that was lasting pretty much all day, only had relief in the evenings- and also lots of food aversions too can't look at red meat or veggies, but ive never actually vomited. My GP put me on vitamin b6 which really helped with the nausea. Anyways fast forward I am 9+2 and had my first scan at 7+1 everything great seen babys heartbeat...in the last 3 days or so my nausea is just gone?! I'm no longer needing my b6 for nausea and I'm just worried as I'm suffering with massive anxiety thinking everyday something is going to go wrong as it's still hard to believe I'm pregnant.
Is it too early for my nausea to just stop? Just like that? I'm still really tired all the time and my boobs are so sore but I'm so worried I'm going to have a missed miscarriage and I dont have another scan till 12 weeks ππ I guess i just have to hope everything is ok π€ thanks for listening to my crazy lady rant πππ

Yeah I know it's just money is tight right now as I'm not working at mo...I'm in New Zealand and its over $200 for a scan here. Plus i wanted to pay to have a scan at 16 weeks as after my 12 week scan I wont have one until 20 weeks. Was just hoping to hear from any ladies nausea has stopped early. This anxiety is overwhelming...2.5 weeks to go π£ xxx
My fertility clinic told me to expect symptoms to die down/go around 8 weeks as your hormones level out. I didnβt really suffer from symptoms but it still worried me when what symptoms I did have calmed down xx
Thanks hun that's very reassuring. My boobs are still sore and I'm so tired all the time but yes it's scary that my nausea just stopped π I just have to hope everything is ok. π 2.5 weeks to go till my scan ππ€ xxx
My nausea was so up &down - this is really common hun. Fatigue is the most common pregnancy symptom. I was so scared of a MMC too when I felt like this. Hope youβre finding some chill time this weekend with all the fatigue - easier said than done but try not to overthink the day to day symptoms xxx
Thanks hun. This is so hard! I suffer from anxiety anyways but of course I am not taking any of my meds so this has been tough. I'm definately so tired I had a 3 hour nap today! I haven't been sleeping very well through the night I think from my anxiety..and getting up 3 times a night to wee! π so I nap when I can. Thanks for your reply hun, I hope this gets slightly easier at some stage π xxx
Oh the fatigue really took me by surprise! I normally get so much done in the evenings after work but have really had to rein back. And pacing myself at the weekend and always needing naps. I suffer with anxiety too - but had been on meds when going through IVF as was struggling mentally - am now weaning off. Feel guilty that Iβve been on them but donβt think I couldβve managed without - well done you for coping without them - the anxiety is so hard. I do feel better after my 12 week scan though so hope it gets easier for you too. Someone said to me the most consistent pregnancy symptom is anxiety - itβs so true and once I heard it I actually felt relieved! Thinking of you - you can do this xxx
Well I had weened right down to a very low dose by transfer...then the minute I got my BFP I fully stopped. But i was on such a low dose by then it was ok to stop. My doctor actually told me to stay on them if i want but honestly i think my anxiety would be worse being on them i would just feel so guilty. It's so hard isn't it hun π I really hope I will feel better after my 12 week scan but I somehow doubt it π how far along are you now? Xxx
Oh that's wonderful your out of the scary part! π And I know I feel so incredibly lucky I wish I could just enjoy this and I hope I can settle somewhat after my 12 week scan ππ€π
Symtoms come and go. Your body is just getting used to all rhe hormones now. Try not to worry it's more than likely that everything is absolutely fine. Not that Iong until your ultrasound!
I'm 16 weeks. No symtoms at all anymore! But a slight bump, giving me a bit of reassurance. Counting down the 4 weeks until my 20 week ultrasound. Can't wait to see Bubb again β€
Hi I had suffered sickness from day one having 3 early losses before I was grateful for the sickness after passing 8 week mark my sickness went away (all my precious losses happened at 7 weeks) so I was terrified. However few days after that all come back and lasted until almost 13 weeks. I have a college at work that hers stopped at about 9 and all was ok. I am now 17 weeks so would say try not to worry as this mostly means nothing and as long as there is no craps and bleeding all is good sign. Good luck x
Oh I'm so ver sorry for your losses how heartbreaking π
I know I actually am kind of wishing my nausea would come back! I have read that sometimes it stops and come back with a vengeance so I guess we will see. So great your at 17 weeks not long till you find out gender π and no I've had 0 spotting and only normal early pregnancy cramps so I'm hoping that's a good sign ππ
We already know the gender as we have done panorama test for genetic screening at 10 weeks and this confirms the gender - we are team blue! I read that at 9 weeks your hormones starting to balance and many people start feeling relieve from sickness, I am sure you will feel that the next 3 weeks are longest in your live when waiting for 12 week scan but once you get there you will feel so much better
Oh yay congratulations!! π I've had dreams of me holding a baby boy so I'm guessing im team blue too! Either way I will be so very happy π well i really hope all is ok and yes these 2.5 weeks till my scan are just going sooo slow! Not much i can do tho but wait it out π xxx
I was replying to someone else this morning saying every day is a worry!
My nausea was from 6 weeks to 11 weeks and then it tailed off. Thereβs another lady whose symptoms all disappeared in the ninth week, but she is still going strong too.
I had a good sense of smell before, but it is so much more heightened now, itβs a nightmare...generally I can smell bins from a distance!!
Are you due to see the midwife/hospital soon for your booking appointment? Maybe if you speak with them, they might do a blood or heartbeat check?
You're not wrong there! Everyday I am worrying π Well I just have go hope everything is ok π oh and yes gosh my nose is so sensitive right now everything smells so strong it's crazy!
Oh yes I've already met with my midwife I had already done 3 bloods with my clinic hcg levels were great and at my 1st scan everything was great, so even if I did a blood test now it wouldnt say much my hcg levels would still be high either way. Midwife said we cant hear heartbeat on doppler till 12 weeks but I am going to see her when I'm 10+5 so I will ask her if maybe we can check on doppler then ππ xxx
Fingers crossed everything is ok. It very likely is but it's hard not to panic isn't it? I didn't have much nausea either, but it started to clear up around week 10 and by week 11 I was feeling great, full of energy again - although boobs are sore to this day. Hope you can hold it together unti the next scan. I really do think everything's fine xxx
Thankw hun. Gosh this worry is incredible! Its constant! π£ I'm just hoping that I'm still exhausted and my boobs are so very sore that everything is ok and maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones π€π I really hope your right and everything's fine ππ hows things with you that wee girl getting bigger by the day I bet! How far are you now? Xxx
Fatigue and sore boobs are good pregnancy signs- although obvs not much fun!!
I'm 25 weeks, now and feeling really well. My little princess seems more like Princess Fiona - she's huge!!! and very active
Hello Niki_B! Welcome to the group xx
Just to echo what the others have said, yes, perfectly normal. Apparently we get surges as we get hormone surges and our body adjusts. Really worrying nevertheless. Anyway, from 9-12 weeks we also have the placenta taking over which is why in 2nd trimester we move into the best period of the pregnancy apparently, as the sickness tends to go and we get beyond the scary 12 weeks mark.
Yes I've got a feeling my hcg has peaked and the placenta is starting to take over now, which is why my nausea is gone. I still have really sore boobs, am tired all the time, and am absolutely ravenous now like I cant get full! Also when I'm 10+5 i will be stopping prognyova and progesterone...if the placenta has started to produce progesterone already I reckon with the pessaries I'm taking my levels are sky high hence the being starving all the time! So yes I'm hoping all of this is a good sign, and I'm just one of the lucky ones that my nausea has ended early. 2 weeks 4 days till my scan ππ£ππ
How are you getting on? You must be getting close now?! ππ
Haha exactly I think my head knows what's going on but my heart just worrys non stop!! π
Oh wow 29 weeks your getting there! Not long now....are you still keeping gender a secret? That is so awesome I wish I could do that what an amazing surprise...I'm just way too impatient lol ππ xxx
Yes I am. It's quite good as it means I can't go and buy loads of clothes, but sometimes I wish I did know so I could ha ha. I am sure there will be plenty of clothes when the time comes. And overarching feeling we both have is still there that we would like at least one surprise. I have a definite bump now, I still get surprised when I see it ha ha. Sometimes at work I forget I am pregnant and then catch myself in a mirror and get a pleasant surprise. X
Iβve been told the placenta kicks in around 9 weeks and that will often help reduce nausea/morning sickness. Didnβt happen for me but doesnβt mean itβs not the case for you x
I hear ya! Week 27 (from week 5) still getting morning sickness just not everyday now π And acid reflux like you wouldnβt believe! Just taking each day as it comes and just grateful to even be pregnant as didnβt think it was going to happen
So happy for your pregnancy, but not so happy about the side effects
I am stay at home mum. My nausea was so bad that if I had a job I would not be able to go in ... Spent so many days on the carpet in my PJ's, next to my toddler playing - not being able to take him out, forget about playgroups or playgrounds...
So glad I am much better for last few weeks. But not long to wait, I believe, and I'll get acid reflux too: baby's foot is kicking my ribs now. Hopefully soon your "sideffects" will leave you alone!xx
I had nausea from 6 weeks also, also had early scans at fertility clinic. My nausea was really bad and then turned to proper sickness but then all of a sudden I would feel fine all day long and then the sickness would return either the next day or day after . So try not to worry. My sickness got bad again and went past 12 weeks, got better then returned again, I carried on with it until around 18 weeks then it stopped . So could be you are the same where it will come and go. Not long to wait until your 12 week scan and then if you get worried you can ask at doctors to listen to heart beat. I did this at 15 weeks as I was ill and wasn't having a midwife appointment until gone 18 weeks and was worried for baby. The doctor happily listened to the heartbeat. But of course probably too small at the moment for you to ask for that now.
Niki, I am actually surprised not to see any probiotics being recommend to you. In my experience, with nausea during pregnancy, one of the quickest and most effective remedies are probiotics. These healthy bacteria help to provide facilitate digestion and provide gut balance. They also support and boost your immune system. Usually, you will experience some relief using yogurts or kefir. But there are also probiotic supplements which are safe and recommended to used during pregnancy. Try looking into Flourish Probiotics. This is a naturally made probiotic supplement that is highly recommended to be used during pregnancy or alongside prenatal.
Easy for me to say but try not to worry.
Pregnancy symptoms do come & go it really freaked me out. What the other ladies say is spot on; the body β gets usedβpregnancy hormones & only produces βsymptomsβ when levels surge. The fact your boobs still hurt & you are suffering fatigue are very good reliable symptoms of early pregnancy. I only had those two symptoms in the first trimester, the second trimester I had very little symptoms I felt normal!
I had no morning sickness with my first pregnancy ( my son) & third pregnancy ( my daughter, the second pregnancy was a miscarriage) Iβm 34 weeks.
My mother in law had no symptoms with any of her 3 pregnancies & had 3 healthy sons.
I still worry now, I think after the journey we canβt help it. It still feels too good to be true that we got our happy ending. Probably not what you want to hear from someone whoβs 34 weeks.
Some ladies have a scan between 7 weeks & 12 weeks to get some reassurance. I ended up having a scan at 10 weeks due to losing fresh blood with clots which was terrifying & once Iβd seen the baby ok I was sure my worrying would stop π€¦π½ββοΈbut I still worried before our dating scan at 12 weeks π³
I hope that makes you feel less alone with your feelings.
Wishing you the best with your dating scan and hope you feel better after seeing all is okay.xoxo
I have about 20 years here when I was carrying my son up to when I could feel him moving lol because I was i was told I couldn't have children 21 yrs ago so when I was carrying him I was a nervous wreck lol xx so glad fertility worked out for you I didn't have any because I couldn't deal with the fact it may not work xx
