Loss of symptoms overnight

Hi

I have read that this is normal, but I still want to vent my worry. I was starting to feel icky, like total loss of energy, sickish feeling if I didn't eat and if I did, full after a small plate of food, boobs hard and sore all the time. You know the stuff I mean - nothing huge but symptoms that kind of creep up on you.

Well, I didn't sleep very well last night as usual and even had a but of a lie in. When I got up I felt normal. Full of energy, no pains, kind of "normal". I had some negative thoughts come into my head that I couldn't get rid of and then this. I am only 8+4 - please tell me this is normal???? Tell me this is ok and everything is going to be ok?

Thank you.

I am now going to try my nightly battle of trying to get to sleep after my 3.50am wee wake up (suppose that's one sign but could now be habit).

Xxx

Yes, after many years of trying and 6 round of ivf, including anembryonic twins in April this year. So I still keep pinching myself. Xx

Thank you. I have my booking in appointment with midwife on 10th December and 12 week scan on Christmas eve. Just can't wait to get to that safety zone I guess, but also not wishing to wish my life away. It's all very surreal isn't it. To think there is a life growing inside of me. I just want to do everything right and welcome them to the world in July. Xxx

Morning lovely I had loss is symptoms around then too. Due to a bleed we had a few scans. 7 days after loss of symptoms we went for in update scan I was terrified. I put all my meds and anything else ivf in a bag so I didn’t have to see it after scan as honestly thought it was game over. Low and behold everything was good! Within four hours of scan symptoms came back lol. Since they have cane and gone but I’m assured it is all normal. Hope that helps a bit although if your like me you will still fret it’s hard not to when you want something so much. Big hugs lovely xxxx

in reply to

Thank you snuggles. I know I would say the same to others. Weird mind and body that I have! Xx

My clinic told me at my 8 week scan to expect symptoms to disappear from then on (not that I had many) as hormones start to balance out. Still didn’t stop me from worrying though xx

Thank you hydromermaid, that's good to know x

It’s all normal, my sister is currently 14 weeks pregnant and never had any pregnancy symptoms not even sore boobs 😮. In fact she says she fees great so she was adamant that there was something wrong (she had a loss at 6 weeks earlier in the year). But last week she had her dating scan and the baby is perfectly healthy happily wriggling around in her tummy. So I guess what I’m trying to say it’s fine to feel fine during pregnancy, but if you are concerned and it will put your mind at rest contact the early pregnancy unit. They may be able to put your mind at rest. Take care, try not to stress and relax. Xx

in reply toStrawberrychaos

Thank you, that's great news x

Hold on tight. I had odd days when symptoms had gone too. x

Oh great. I mean, I love feeling normal, it's just natural to worry! Thank you xx

I had days when I woke up feeling relatively normal and kept saying to my husband the worst was happening then a few days later symptoms came back with a vengeance. People kept saying to me ‘enjoy the good days in the first trimester’ although I totally appreciate that isn’t easy at all x

in reply toE_05

Phew. Thank you xx

Good morning lovely

Do not worry at all! All the symptoms u say are completely normal except for your negative thought which dont let u rest and sleep and stress that is not good for the baby at all! A lot of my friends had such symptoms up to 3-4 months and then they were ok! One of them was hospitalised for the first few months of both her pregnancies coz she coulnt eat anything and had nausea all the time! Even a nurse told her that this is a sign of having a healthy baby! Do not be stressed at all! Think about your miracle , stay positive and enjoy your pregnancy! This is all u and the little angel need at the moment! Do not ruin all the moments u ve been waiting that much! I do understand your feeling and worry aboout your past experiences but this is a new chance and u must look forward and be positive!Enjoy your pregnancy and even if u couldnt help to calm down u can go to a private clinic to have your first scan!

Sending u lots of love and hope u get relaxed and rest a lot. xxxxxx

in reply toParis1771

Thank you. I have actually had two scans already - at 6 and 8 weeks - and everything doing what it should. I should just count myself lucky that I am not stuck to a toilet being sick. Thanks again. It's all very reassuring to know xx

Hi Camillage I think it's normal for symptoms to come and go. The only thing I really have now is bigger boobs. To be honest I haven't really had many symptoms and the few I had come and go. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry. Big hugs xxxx

in reply toPenders

Thank you Lenders. I just need to enjoy the days where I feel rubbish, and the ones where I feel ok. Bonus xx 😂

Seriously though, it is good to have all the reassurances. It's so weird how sometimes I can't peel myself out of bed and others I feel I could run a marathon. Ha ha - maybe not quite... x

Sorry you are going through this. My symptoms come & go. Just after my red spotting my boobs stopped hurting for a day; I was so freaked out & convinced myself I was losing the baby. The sore boobs came back the next day after my scan which showed baby to be fine!!! The early weeks are so tough- you are focused so much on getting a BFP but then when you do you worry about it going wrong, more so after a previous loss. At over 8 weeks you are definitely over the riskiest part of the pregnancy especially as you’ve seen the heartbeat & all okay, it’s much less likely to go wrong. The odds are much more in your favour now- you have 98% chance of now continuing with your pregnancy according to Tommy’s, because you’ve seen the heartbeat. 😍👍For me the worrying has eased since the12 week scan. It does get better I promise you! 👍 I hope Christmas Eve gives you the reassurance you need to really enjoy this pregnancy 😍🤰🏼 xoxo

in reply to

Thank you. Yes, I am a few weeks behind you so I see you go through all these things and tell myself it's fine, then get to them myself and panic like an idiot! We can't help it I guess. Roll on Christmas day! Xxx

My symptoms seemed to appear every other day - I too freaked out about loss of symptoms! I think it's totally normal but I get that need to "feel pregnant" all the time. I think it's the way the hormones work, new ones produced, you feel crap, then they level out and you feel normal. Up and down is normal! xx

in reply to

Thank you. I know this all theoretically... but in practice it's a different story and I just need to get the reassurance from everyone. Honestly, this site is like a big huge reassuring hug. Thank you xx

in reply to

If only I took my own advice sometimes! Bigs hugs all round x

This happened to me! my boobs hurt so badly first few weeks, then I got to 8 weeks and it calmed down, I'm 11+3 now and they don't hurt anymore, I also was very exhausted and I'm feeling loads better too, I've had a scan every week and my baby is doing well and even measuring bigger, my last scan was 2 days ago xxxxxx

in reply to

That is such a relief to know. I am aware that symptoms come and go, and also that when we reach second trimester energy returns but I will just have to thank how lucky I am that it has happened early! Xx

in reply to

Yeah definately! It's always worrying when symptoms is the only thing we have to go by, it always feels weird in the beginning the amount of times I start think oh i hope it's still there haha xx

It is a normal thing to happen but it is still a worry, especially after what you’ve been through. Same thing happened to me all my pregnancies, around 7/8 weeks. I panicked and went for an private scan on the day this time around (after a the previous pregnancy ended in miscarriage) and baby was completely fine. It’s happened a few times this pregnancy around 12 and 15 weeks (I’ve also had cramping and spotting a few times) but now 24+1 with no major issues so far. Xx

in reply toChloeLeighCorn

Oh how worrying. Spotting is the worst one of the trickster things our body throws at us to make us panic! I am so glad all is ok xx

Hi when I had my first 2 I never worried about anything pains or symptoms probably because I didn’t read up as much. Now after having mc I do worry abit. I’m 6+4 so 2 weeks behind u I don’t have any real symptoms I didn’t really get symptoms with my first 2 either so keep telling myself everything fine. Hopefully it will be. Only thing I’m feeling is palpitations and my heartbeat is thumping all round my body when I’m lying in bed sometimes. My daughter woke me up this morning and gave me a fright then I felt all weird for a bit heart pounding. So I’ll mention at my booking in which is just after yours on the 12th.

in reply to

We do have more blood pumping around our systems. I bet your little girl got a fright giving you a fright too. What a shame.

I started off just feeling lazy and greedy, then realised it was actually pregnancy related 😂.

So it was a surprise yesterday when I felt "normal". Our poor bodies can't win can they x

in reply to

Lol no she just laughed she’s 10 they’re quite evil to me at times. I know it probably is the extra blood. Actually with her pregnancy I got this hick tick cough I still get it now but it’s lot better controlled used to give me headaches. Yeah the joys

Oh Camillage, it's really scary to lose symptoms isn't it! But I've read in so many places that symptom loss around this time is quite normal as our bodies become used to the pregnancy hormones.

The symptoms can apparently come and go as well. I've heard of lots of people describing feeling pregnant one day and normal the next, then the symptoms may come back after a few days or so.

I know how hard it is but try not to worry. Big hugs lovely xxx 😘

in reply toPookymama

Thanks. I am feeling much better now (in my mind, my body was a little icky he he). All good. I keep thinking I need to get as much sleep as I can but wake up every day some time between 3 and 4 for an hour or so. Really bad habit! Xx

Just seen you post and how strange but I was sitting eating my tea tonight and started panicking that I felt less sickly. I’m still worrying abit now but trying not too. But once I start worrying its hard to get out the mindset you just start thinking the worse. I think it must be coz we have come so far and the 12 week mark is just around the corner! You are doing so well! Keep in the positive track! My scan is booked for 20th December! I’m nervous and anxious but each day is a step closer! X

in reply toGem1982

Oh wow. Not long to go. I think sometimes the symptoms are so mild that i barely notice them. Other times I feel like I am getting the flu. So weird. We just need to banish the negatives (well notice them and let them be) rather than focus on them. Positive positove positive xx

Hi I just wondered how you were feeling? If it helps any I had no real symptons at all. I made myself so paranoid for full 9 months. I think it's only natural when you've been what we've been through. I tried to break the 40 weeks down into shorter milestones as a way to try cope. Will be thinking about you xmas eve. Good luck 😊😊😊

in reply to

Thank you. I can't believe this was only 7 days ago! I feel like an old pro now. Ha ha. Settled down for the waiting. I am either getting fat or all is ok and things are doing as they should.

I get symptoms if I don't have enough water, overdo it or don't eat enough. So I am drinking water, eating and taking it easy most of the time. I really hope I don't turn into a lazy lump after going through this.

Thanks for checking in. I just have to get on with things and trust my body. Have decided that is the best thing. Enough of the stress. How are things with you? Xxx

That's good to hear. I'm glad you are doing well. All good here. Jack is nearly 4 weeks old and I'm loving every minute. With all the highs and lows and 2 week waits that we go through its worth it 😊 x x

in reply to

I totally believe that. Thank you for checking in when you have so much going on. Lovely that you are so relaxed in these early days. Thanks again x
