Baby Monitors ADVICE please 🙏🏼

Can anyone recommend a good baby monitor with screen and movement detector?

I have been reviewing angel care which I thought was the best brand but reviews for monitoring sensors don’t seem great due to battery life.

Has anyone bought one based on good reviews and would you be happy to share your thoughts??

Thank you. 😊

We’ve got a Motorola screen and sound monitor as we didn’t think about a movement sensor pad until we moved baby into her own room. We then bought the angelcare movement monitor and I’m so happy I did. We haven’t changed the batteries once since we got it in August and we use it every night and I use it for nap times too. It helps me sleep easier. She does set the monitor off every now and again as she sometimes lies at the top or bottom of the cot bed right against the head/foot board but I would rather that than worry all night xx

When I was researching baby monitors, something that did not cross my mind was was the emission. Some monitors can be as bad as radiate microwave wave at a constant pace while transmitting data, especially those with videos. And because new born are so sensitive, then adsorb almost 60% mor wireless radiation than us adults. Knowing this, I went for a audio monitor instead of a video version, bebcare. You can find the list via your search engine by ‘Low Emission Baby Monitor: List of Baby Monitors’.

I bought the Tommee Tippee one with the sensor pad and managed to get it half price at the Asda baby event. Yeah it went off a few times although he was ok but I would rather check on my grandson a million times and him be ok than to miss one time when it could have been bad. Still use the visual monitor now when he stays at mine and he is nearly 3 xx

Thanks everyone. Wow I didn’t think about radiation emission! 🤔

My OH did soooo much research and eventually picked the angelcare 417. All angelcare monitors are currently on sale on their website!

I'd recommend a breathing/heartbeat monitor. Given the rising number of SIDS cases, it's the perfect option. And in addition, it has all the regular tracking options of casual baby monitors. The app is quite easy to use. Check the full review on owlet smart sock babymonitortown.com/owlet-s.... Hope it will help.

We bought the Sense-u Baby monitor when baby was 3 days old as we couldn't get peace of mind at night especially as he was born small (4lbs12oz at 39 weeks). I was £70 on Amazon but worth every penny! Connects to my phone via an app. It alarms when baby stops breathing or temperature gets too hot or cold or baby turns over. We have never got any false alarms and are confident it is doing its job ! Doesn't monitor heart rate just breathing but we were fine with that. It's a little button that attaches to the baby's vest. Very easy to put on even when he's already asleep.
