My little girl (19 months) had this few weeks ago along with impetigo- hand foot & mouth cleared up within about 7-10 days there isn’t anything the doctor can give them for it.

She was miserable for a few days but after couple days she was back to her usual self xxx

That's handy to know she's been up all night Thursday night screaming then it'll all appeared yesterday but she hasn't stopped crying and is finding it hard to sleep like she is in pain so one very exhausted mother here lol.

Hopefully she'll start feeling a little better by Monday x

That’s the same as my girl she was miserable the night before it all came out I was awake all night with her. It was hard! we ended up just bringing her in bed with us as she wouldn’t settle. It seems to be spreading I know lots of children that have had it xx

Hope you all get some rest soon xxx

My friend's kids had it. Her baby was very unsettled for about a week. Think you just have to ride it out as I there's nothing to take for it. Good luck!

Huge outbreak in Hampshire at the moment. Could try piraton to help knock the baby out a bit. At 7 months would need a prescription even thigh you can buy it over the counter at 1

My oldest daughter got it 3 months old I’m not sure what the drs do we’re you live I’m in Canada but when I took her to the Children’s hospital the DR told me to give her Tylenol every 3-4 hrs to help with the pain and to just comfort her she slept on me for days on end she had blisters all in their mouth on her private’s and feet and hands she also got horrible Diarrhoea from it, it lasted about 10 days. It was heart breaking I also ended up with it after she cleared it is very painful

Thankyou we don't do much over here for it except paracetamol and Nurofen. She's had lots of cuddles but I think it just irritates her more at night so she just cries most nights.

I can imagine it to be horrible I'm hoping I don't get it x

Tylenol is the same as calpol. Shouldn't be given more than 4-6 though and not more than 4 times a day.

My 1 year old daughter has just recovered from this. She was really miserable for a couple of days and the gradually got better. She then passed it onto her dad who was just as miserable with it. Gp advised Calpol regularly and some nurofen spaced inbetween doses when she was in lots of pain, and once the spots start to dry to use some zero cream or Aveno cream to keep the skin moisturised. Hope she’s on the mend soon!

Thanks for the advice doctors never said anything about creams when spots dry up so that's great at the moment there still coming out she's pickled.

I'm hoping me or dad doesn't get but I suppose if your going to it will happenx

Hi, my son caught this from nursery and it was painful and kept him up too. It lasted about 10days but he was much happier after 5 days when the spots had showed up and began to dry up. We were told to give calpol for the pain and we gave piriton 3 times a day. I used to put sudocremem once they started to dry up and it healed up really well.

Wishing you all the best. Hope your bubba feels better soon x
