Hands and feet hurt!

Hi,

I’m 36+5 and for the past week or so have started to experience mild swelling in hands and ankles. Spoke to GP at my 36 week appointment and no concerns etc. But every morning I wake up and my hands and feet hurt like I’ve been doing some sort of marathon in my sleep or something!! Has anyone else every experienced this? They aren’t necessarily swollen when I wake up either and the pain does wear off. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It might be just fluid Hun gathering whilst your asleep as your moving less. Have you rang your midwife? X

I have exactly the same thing with pain in my hands for around a week now and I'm 39+4. Have had it for about a week now along with massive ankles (although they're not sore). I'm going to the midwife today and am going to mention it, but I think it's a normal symptom of late stage pregnancy. As it's not been accompanied by any other symptoms of the likes of preeclampsia etc I'm not getting overly concerned. I'll let you know what MW says!

Just to follow on from appointment yesterday - Midwife wasn't concerned about the hand swelling/pain - she said it's perfectly normal for this stage of pregnancy!
