Heads down

Sooooo I’m 36 plus 1 I’ve been to my midwife this morning and the head is down but my bump hasn’t grown since the last time I went to the midwife which was 2 wks ago. The midwife is sending me for a growth scan tomorrow she did say it could be because her head is down. Has anyone else had similar experience?

Hey I reckon it’ll be because she’s moved down for sure. I have growth scans regularly because my last baby was small for gestational age x

Me again! 🤦‍♀️ Yes! I wrote to this forum too so you can check out my post on my profile. All I can tell you is do not worry at all. The midwife only measures with a paper tape measure and the end point to measure isn’t clear so the fundal height result can differ every time. It also depends on how the baby is laying for each measurement (which caused mine). I had a growth scan and then was told to come back 2 weeks later for another growth scan to mark the difference. Everything was fine. The sonographer told me I was going to have a huge baby and guessed “well over 9lbs” and she was 6lb 13!! It’s not an exact science at all but they have to be cautious. Good luck lovely!

My sister had the same problem and growth scan showed baby hadn't grown for a few weeks. She had to have early delivery (induces 37 weeks) because placenta was not efficiently working. Don't worry too much, as long as baby is moving ok x

Been for growth scan today and it was all fine it’s just because the baby is tucked right down in my pelvis that my bump hasn’t changed much since my last midwife app xx
