I had a laproscopy in January which gave me official diagnosis of endometriosis and removed endo growth from uterus, pelvis and bladder also removed two cysts and drained fluid around one of my ovaries. When I went for my two week follow up mt surgeon said that if we want children we need to start trying soon or it might not happen.
I've been with my partner for nearly eight years and we have just bought our first house in November, so lots to do but very settled. We are now getting married in July.
Since the op I've had pregnancy symptoms, which is like my body's cruel joke. But I'm ovulating again and pain is much better etc. We are going to really try this month now my pain is improved and I'm doing better.
Has anyone else had endometriosis removed and been successful? I've been scared for years that I can't have children as the symptoms were so bad.
Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated. I know a few people who haven't been able to conceive and it really scares us that we might not be able to.
Thanks xx

Hi Hannah. Hope you are recovering well after your lap. I had been trying to get pregnant for almost 2 years, had my lap end of September last year (endo on pod, ovarian cyst removed) and I got my positive pregnancy test Dec 23rd! I am now coming up 19 weeks pregnant and so very grateful. I truly believe the surgery helped in being able to get pregnant, but didnt help with pain much unfortunately and they do say after a lap is the best time to conceive.
One other thing that might help, the month that we conceived we used Pre-seed and I really believe that helped as we just started using it that cycle then I got pregnant. It wasn't cheap but it was definitely worth it!
I hope this helps and I hope everything works out for you, if there is anything else you need to know just ask. I wish you the best of luck in your journey.xxx
Pre seed is a fertility friendly lubricant, I'd heard great reviews about it with women ttc so gave it a go and coincidence or not I got pregnant first cycle after not having any luck for so long! You can buy it from Amazon, think it cost me around £18 but I would definitely recommend.
That's fantastic although I'm sure it's not easy, well done.
You're doing all the right things, taking care of your body will help take care of your future baby. And I know it can be hard sometimes but try not to get stressed, take care of yourself and it will happen when the time is right. Have you a good GP that can help guide you aswell or for advice?xxx
