Rubbish at the back of my throat, cough

Hello I’m Ellie I have a really bad chesty cough and lots of rubbish at the back of my throat, I’ve tried a few things to get rid but no luck. Thanks

Are you pregnant? If you think it's just a cold the you just have to wait for it to settle. I'd be wary about medication as not many things are safe in pregnancy. If you think it's fairly bad aka high temp coloured phlegm in cough might be worth seeing ur GP

You can get a salty rinse/wash which you skoosh up your nose and it flushes phlegm through and should clear your throat. Sorry, I forget what it's called. You can get it at the pharmacy and doesn't contain anything harmful.
