Who else believe in this myth that "a pregnant woman shouldn't cut her hair till her baby turns 1 year after birth". Actually I feel very messy with my long hair and I don't wanna do any make up and hair styles while undergoing pregnancy week. Therefore I would be grateful if anyone can share your opinion on this.
Thank you so much.

Makes no sense at all... Sounds like old wife tale or possibly something to do with your culture/religion. Hair is just protein like your finger nails... Would you not cut your finger nails for a year or shave ur legs etc ?!
Sounds like BS to me. Your hair thickens out during pregnancy because less of it is lost, so I have heard it's not recommended to change your style dramatically while pregnant cos you might get a shock when it sheds after you give birth! But afterwards I can't see what difference it would make.
I think that's a load of rubbish!! mine actually started falling a bit out in the last trimester and I've now cut it a bit, I was tired of having long hair everywhere and with the hot weather it feels much nicer shorter. I honestly wouldn't listen to this!!
I had my hair cut and coloured whilst pregnant and again about 3/4 weeks after birth. No problems have occurred...my hair is now falling out but his is very normal nothing to do with having it cut.
Thanks one and all for your positive response. i might seem rubbish and all but here almost all women they usually don't cut their hairs during pregnancy, I also don't know the reasons but they say it's not healthy to cut the hairs.
