My dates are wrong

Hi I had my dating scan yesterday 20th June. My last period was on the 4th April I ovulated on 23th april. Which makes me about 11 weeks pregnant. But the dating scan said it was about 6 weeks with a very slow heart beat. I've got to go back in two weeks for another scan. They think I've miscarried , has anyone had this problem, I'm thinking I implanted late which makes my dates wrong. Please help x

Yes, I am miscarriage last year. I thought I was 9 weeks. Started bleeding. Had scan, was told I'm 6 weeks but no heart beat. They scan again 2 weeks later because 6 week embryo is very small and they might have missed heart beat.

It is also possible that you ovulated later than usual and your pregnancy might be fine.

I had very heavy bleeding a week later. The scan showed no embryo, which confirmed miscarriage.

When you have your dating scan they determine how far along you are based on baby's measurements. So if the baby stopped growing around sixth week they may have come to that conclusion. I hope this is not the case
