I had a scan today and they said baby is 8lb 6oz and im freaking out, how can I slow down her growth, the thought of a c section is enough to make me panic, I still have just over 5 weeks left

i find they are very inacurate, apparently im 31 weeks today but im measuring 33 weeks and 5 days, bump is large and excess fluid but apparently ive not grown in 6 weeks and growth is static so you can never tell, my partners mum also got weighed in for an 8 pound baby turned out to be 6 and half :)

They really can be very inaccurate. I had a scan at 36 weeks & was told my baby would be born over 8lb. I went 2 weeks past my due date with her & she was 7lb7 at birth. A friend was induced early because of static growth- estimated less than 5lb. Her baby was 7lb.

Don't worry yourself over it Hun, you will be fine 😊 Xx

That's not that big to be honest!! My hubby was born at 10lb and believe me I was having kittens thinking I was going to have a 10lb baby!! I didn't!! An average size baby these days is probably around 8lb!😆

Don't panic! My son was 10,6 and not a word of C-Sec daughter was 8,9 and the same. Both natural. As for slowing growth don't be daft! At the end of the day panic is bad for you and your baby. Discuss options with partner and make sure those that are with you at the birth know your desires. Remember your baby, your choice.
