As long as you buy purposely new born formula and prepare it like the instructions say it's safe. The other option would be breast milk. What are you feeding your baby right now?

I think I've just understood your post (oops) ... You been feeding your newborn to wrong age formula. I'm sure it won't be the end of the world but I wouldn't continue and I'd get the right stuff and the nutrients etc will not be the same.

Is she ok now? It's very common to mix feed using both breast milk and formula. And it's ok. Make sure you have s age appropriate one at home. If use it rarely instead of the big tubs you can get the small bottles which are ready made. It's only milk so don't feel guilty about it
