Hi all, some of you may have read that I'm TTC. Last month I had a faint positive but unfortunately a week later it was negative and period arrived very late. This month I'm on day 43 of a cycle that has been 35 days at its very longest. I've had sore boobs for over a week and nausea over the last 3 days - this is new for me as I didn't get any with no 1.
Obviously I've shared all this with with my husband who says 'you always think your pregnant'!!! He makes me doubt all my symptoms and now I dread taking a test as he says 'see I told you'!!
Anyway I've bought some cheap tests from Waitrose today and working up the courage to test tomorrow.
If you don't hear from me in the next day or so you know my husband was right and I was wrong 😆!! TTC is so annoying!!
Hi Dublin77, I remember your post from last month and I'm so sorry that your period arrived. You're doing the right thing in waiting until your period is late. It sounds very late now. I would have tested on day 36 if 35 days has been your longest ever cycle. You're so patient! Unfortunately I never get get to your stage as my period turns up without fail like clockwork every month. Also, the symptoms of a pending period are similar to early pregnancy so you'll never know until you take the test. Just tell your husband that. I completely agree that ttc is so annoying! I wish you the best of luck for tomorrow xxx
I meant to add - in my last pregnancy, I had a negative test the day after my period was due but then a positive test a week later. So it might well take a while for the hormone level to be detected on a home testing kit. We'll never really know until we know will we! Wishing you the best for tomorrow x
Hey, i'm no expert, but it sounds like you aren't being silly in taking a test - at least you'll know! Your husband should be supporting you, not saying stuff like 'I told you so', it's really hard as a woman because every time something feels different you wonder 'could it be.....?', and guys don't know what were going through. Tell your husband to ease off with the comments - it's not going to help anyone. I'm sure he means well, but he obviously needs help to understand what it's like for you. Good luck! x
