Hi there,
It might be Braxton Hicks, where by your body is preparing for the big day. Does not sound as anything starting at the moment, if and when Labour starts you will know. The pain starts off slowly and builds up gradually and there is no mistaking it. If you are concerned at any time please contact your Midwife and out of hours then it has to be the labour ward, The number is in your hospital notes. All the best. I am slightly behind you @ 26 weeks plus 3 with Baby girl number 4. XXXX
Sounds normal to me, I'm 20 wks with my third boy and have had braxton hicks all the way through this pregnancy. Go with your instincts, you'll know when you're in labour (contractions are stronger and you'll feel them as they start to do the work of opening your cervix. I take it they'll be keeping an eye on you because of your previous c-section but don't be scared of labour, you are a woman- we're designed to do this! When labour does come, rest while you can and when you need to be moving then keep as mobile as you can for as long as possible, remember squatting or another upright position will open up your pelvis 30% more than lying on your back The association of improvements to midwifery services (AIMS) have an informative leaflet on VBACs and women's experiences make up an important element of the booklet, as well as providing information about your rights and where to find support good luck xx
