Hi ladies, I was wondering what contraception are you using, would you recommend it and how did you choose it? I've been taking mini pill (Progesteron only) for the last 2 weeks and can't say I'm loving it. Got a bit of spotting and feel more emotional and generally not great. Due to breastfeeding my choices are limited. My OH doesn't feel ready to have sex, our LO is nearly 4 months and I'm wondering if it's worth it.
Contraception.: Hi ladies, I was... - Pregnancy and Par...
Contraception.
I had the copper coil. ...it did make me have heavy periods for six months but I can't take anything hormone related so that was my best bet. ..it was fine but the I started spotting about 3 years after I had it and I wasn't sure if it was my hormones or the coil so I had it removed witch I wish I hadn't cos I went on the pill and it was awful... x
Hi I opted for the copper coil when I had my daughter in 2005 and I only had it removed January 2013 due to letzs treatment best form of contraception I've ever used and when I have lo in august ill have it again x
I was using the Nuva Ring and loved it! I was on the pill before and I would get very down and emotional but never had this with the Nuva Ring. It's really easy to use - you just pop it in for 21 days (my husband has never felt it btw) and out for 7 then start again with a new one so no worries about remembering everyday! When TTC my periods were regular immediately and 2 months later we conceived our first baby
I am on the pill ovranette, I breastfed till my son was 8 months and was on it from when he was 6 weeks and it didn't affect my supply or anything x
Hey there. .. I'm using Cerazette, different pills make me hormonal and a bit crazy, this suits me. Am also bf. Good luck!
I've just recently had the Depo injection after giving birth 9 weeks ago. I was on this for years before conceiving and find it the best method of contraception for me as it completely stops my periods, doesn't make me gain weight, and doesn't affect me emotionally. It can take longer for your periods to return to normal and to conceive after stopping it though I believe.
Using condoms, I am breastfeeding and my baby is 3 weks old. By using condoms it puts the birth control decision on my husband, as I have too many other things to think about. No condom = no sex. Baby's still very small so my husband is keen not to have another one yet.
