Is there any point in doing a pregnancy test when ur period arrives after trying to concieve? xx

It's unlikely that you would be pregnant, if you have a normal flow and cramping. However, there is a chance of bleeding when the egg implants itself (which is around the time you would get a period). This bleeding is usually lighter though. So your period would be shorter/lighter.

Personally, when I was ttc I never tested after my period had arrived. Both times I was pregnant I never had implantation bleeding. It can happen though, so if you period is lighter than normal I'd suggest testing.

Same here, both the pregnancies I had in 2012 never had an implant bleed, my period simply failed to arrive. All the best :-)

Was it a normal period? I had a light period in my early pregnancy then I missed the next one completely. My period was totally different to normal as I have very heavy periods but wasn't light enough to say it was just spotting. It lasted 3 and a half days instead of four and a half days as my usual.
