Help! why does my babies feet turn blue and her legs red.

I have been to the doctors but they don't know what it is. At first I thought it was due to tights but its happened since she has worn baggy sleepsuits or trousers. She cries like its painful and now it seems to have moved to her arms. There is no pattern on when it happens and its not every week/day. I'm at a loss what's causing it. any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, how old is your little girl? I'm in no way medically trained, but the 1st thing that springs to mind is its a circulation issue! If the gp can't diagnose, I would insist that they refer you to a peadiatrician xx

She is 4 months. I'm just waiting for a date from the hospital after my gp couldn't help.

Hi

I 100% agree with Rachgibson's comment. I'm no professional but it definitely sounds like a blood circulation issue.

Do you have a " urgent care NHS surgery" in your local area, if so I'd advise you to take your Lil girl there A.S.A.P

xx

No we don't and I'm waiting for a letter from the hospital for a date to go in with her to see a specialist.

That's good you have a referral! All being well, because she is so young it shouldn't be a long wait. Hope it all goes well x

Hi. It does sound like it could be a circulation issue. Maybe Raynaulds disease, hands and feet are effected. Very unusual in a baby though. Im glad you've got hospital appt.

Just be really careful with babies bath water temp. If she has really cold feet it can really really hurt going into warm water. It can give her chilblains going quickly from cold to hot and they can be very painful.

You could see if extra layers helps, like 2 pairs of socks etc.

I hope it hoes well at the hospital xx
