Never mentioned his too me, this is my 4th pregnancy and the 1st time ive been on yhis! Does anyone know what it means cause obviously im naturally worried

Hey are you from Scotland? I've heard of the pathways before and I'm pretty sure that red means you are in a high risk category within your pregnancy. I think it means you care will mainly be under a consultant rather than mainly under a midwife given the risk factor and you undergo more monitoring. I'm assuming there is a health condition involved here? But anyway, that's pretty much what it is. Green pathway is low risk, uncomplicated pregnancies under primary care of a midwife and amber pathway is further assessments need to be completed. Hope this helps x

Hello, I would imagine it means high risk, either because of health issues, weight or age maybe? It's strange your midwife didn't mention anything so see what she says about it at your next appointment. Hope all is well xx

I was on the red care pathway because my baby was bigger than the 90th centile, it just means that you're going to a consultant led unit for either your or your baby's health. I know it's hard to stay calm but try, worrying wont change anything, try your best to do some relaxation and deep breathing, good luck!
