41 weeks today and no signs of labour...

Hi ladies. Saw my mw yesterday for my 41 week app and sweep but she couldn't do it as cervix still too far up and not ready.

Getting quite uncomfortable now. Wanted a natural birth at birth centre and now been given my induction date as this time next week

Anyone got any advice to get this baby coming in next few days. Yesterday had sex, curry and small glass of red wine. Gonna try watching something funny today as I heard oxytocin hormones can start things off...

Really need to get things going soon or I know I won't get the natural birth centre experience I wanted.

Go for a drive somewhere with speed bumps and go over them with a bit of speed..obv without damaging your car. Do u hav a birthing ball? Try tht lol x

Ah I feel for you, I made it to 41 with my second baby and was so uncomfortable! I went in to both labours after a long walk - possibly a coincidence but worth a shot? Don't overdo it, maybe just go to the supermarket and mooch around if it's too cold outside!

Yeah I have pelvic pain and crutches but maybe I'll take some painkillers and go for a walk! Getting desperate now!!

Finally started labour naturally on Monday afternoon and had a baby boy at 12.47am!! Was due my sweep that morning but due to midwife mix up I didn't... Turns out I didn't need it and labour very swift!
