My lo is bf and has a poo with every nappy he goes thru 8-10 nappies maybe more thru the day and night and everyone has a poo is this normal? I've read that greenish poo means more lactose so u should make sure u give them a full feed on one breast which I do

My lo is 3.5 weeks and about a week ago he was doing green poos which I was concerned about (I'm bf too). I started him on Infacol and they immediately turned back to normal mustardy yellow. I'd read that green poos can be linked to issues with wind, not just linked to the fore milk / hind milk issue.

As for the number of dirty nappies, I would say that's its normal!

The pooh phenomenon! Archie did green poops at a similar age for a few days. Now from time to time we still get one, plus the yellow and orange was added to the mix after vaccination. I don't think we are meant to understand why and yes I thought it was down to fore & hind milk as BF, which was still an unknown quantity really at the time so I thought I wasn't emptying the breast so worked on this, made no difference. All I can say is it will go back to Yellow in its own time and is normal. Dirty nappy number, yes probably too as depends on volume. My LO has days of lots of wet nappies and the odd poopy one & then another day all will be soiled, he'll sound like he's really going for it and then you go to change and it pardon the term, simply a skid!

Right back to sleep, night ladies Xx

In the early stages yes..the colour of poo is like a traffic light..we get green poo every so often but not too much..my son is nearly 12 weeks. At night he doesn't usually poo till the morning as he only wakes once so I guess theres not much too come out. The soiled nappies will become less as u start to drop feeds during the day and night x

Never had this issue! My LO is 16 weeks but from about 3 weeks can go upto 10 days without! A poo is a cause for celebration in this household. It doesn't bother her though. I'm going to get a massive shock when she's weaned! Sorry I wasn't much use just thought if share :)
