Nursing bras..
Hiya I know mothercare do nursing bras and I should imagine they do all sizes so perhaps it's worth looking in there xx
Bravissimo. They've been fantastic for me - book an appointment and they'll do a fitting, they know all about nursing bras, will definitely have a range of stuff in your size.
I have bought some from the website figleaves. They have lots of choice and free returns. For bigger sizes, try Anita and Bravado. Anita even do a special underwired maternity bra which is a godsend with a bigger chest! Expensive but worth it to be comfortable.
Yeh online..bravissimo or site called bravado. I dont rate mothercares ones. Xx
If you are larger the mothercare ones aren't very good and you get variable quality of fitting.
M&S go up to an H cup - I've used them throughout my pregnancy, and hope to do so during feeding too. £28 for two bras.
Really don't rate M&S nursing bra's. used them til my bust went mental - no support at all and give you one single hotdog boob!!!
Have you had your baby yet? If not, wait til your milk comes in. I was a 32g until day 10 of feeding, went up to a 34K :-/. Replacing nursing bras is expensive!
I can only really get away with Royce and Emma Jayne bras. You can by last seasons styles and colours on eBay (brand new) for around half the price of Bravissimo and figleaves xxx
I got mine from mothercare they didn't have my size but ordered it in n said that they were happy to change if didn't fit when baby was born. Would definetly say wait till close as pos to due date I got slightly larger cup size n slightly smaller circumference size than when pregnant n fit perfectly but think I was prob jst lucky thou x
Some areas have an NCT bra fitter. Check if there's one near you.
BRAVISSIMO! You can got to them for an initial fitting to find the correct size, however their bras are quite pricey so you can then look elsewhere such as online for cheaper bras in the correct size.
I got mine from m&s and I think they're fab. I would recommend waiting until your milk comes in though as mine have grown considerably. Might be worth going in store though and trying some on, just so you get the feel for them and whether they'll be right for you. After all, everyone's boobs are different!
Someone mentioned trying amazon as well, although I haven't tried them it might be worth a look if they're a little cheaper hope that helps x
I got mine from debenhams xx
John Lewis do an own brand set of 2 bras for £30, they go up to a big size, I am a 32G! The also have more support even when feeding as the cup inside goes all the way around the nipple which is good when I am so big. I hope this helps.
I can heartily recommend Bravissimo - I'm a 34H and the ladies at the MK store were amazing! The bra's are pretty, will support you really well and not too expensive. The ladies there don't use tape measures and do all the measurements by eye, I've been using them for over a decade now and they've NEVER got my size wrong. I can't recommend them enough
For my first one I used m+s bras all the way though even for feeding. I'm a big size. I used mother care bras + they were rubbish. I'm going to wear m+s bras for this one as well.
Thanks for all the replies ladies no little one is due 3rd of December il maybe wait until my milk comes in then but definitely looking into getting maternity bras now as my bras are starting to hurt due to the wiring I think.. I'm usually a 32DD but I've gone up to a 34E so far!! I bloody hope they don't go much bigger much to my partners disappointment haha! I've tried getting bras from mothercare but they never seem to have anything more than a DD. Been in M&S and debenhams and they never seem to have my size in store or online!x
Getting out to get measured gonna be tricky once LO arrives, my milk came down day3 and wow I didn't expect that! Once full on feeding had commended not seen them that big since.
I only went up a cap size C to D but back size increased during pregnancy as ribs expanded.
I was measured at Mothercare @ 37 wks with a lovely old bird who had been working and measuring women for 20 years! She picked the bras to try and the fitting as my size would differ slightly depending on style, as it does with regular bra's. I wanted to wear home that day but she said NO you need to wait as it will alter shape of bra wearing now.
I have been very happy with my no wire nursing bra, pk 2 costing £30. I should say as well, I was sized and bras chosen to allow milk let down but like said, only rocks for 24hrs as they feed so frequently.
As with most stuff on this site, it's subjective and we only have opinions. I was thankful I got mine early as I didn't go out until he was 8 days old & that was too the pub for lunch, walking down there I was sore in hips, i would not be dragging my ass around the shops that's for sure xx
i'll recommend bravissimo. their bras are quite pricey but you are sure to get your perfect fit there. i have used them for about 3 years now and they have never disappointed me.
