Hi

Even though I'm expecting my 2nd child in about 5wks time it'll be my 1st time in using a moses basket.

My house is one of those period built houses with high ceilings which means it can become a Lil chilli during winter ( especially downstairs)

As I plan to keep the moses basket downstairs for most of the time I'll be using a baby sleep bag.

Ive also bought another sleep bag which will be for the crib in our bedroom but I probably won't use that one as much as the one I'll be keeping in the "basket".

xx

We use grobags - he stays nice and warm during night time feeds then, and only his head touches a cold crib sheet :-)

Abeena - you'll need more than two sleep bags, trust me! My LOs PB to date has been: one wet, one soiled (super poo) and one survived the night..! X

I've been using blankets.....mainly the cellular cotton blankets and have had many shawls knitted for him so they go on top. I like the light layers approach so if he's too hot, I take a layer off and see he goes. I also have a sleep bag for when it gets colder incase I want to give that a go :-)

I guess you just tuck him in up to the shoulders with the blanket? I am super paranoid about him suffocating - but as we live in Canada and he's due in December he needs to be snug!

I wrap him in one quite tightly with his arms out as he hates his arms tucked in...so mittens on in that case if it's cold. Then I put another over him tucked in around him and then a shawl on top. If very cold, he wears a cardigan to bed as well to make sure his chest is well covered as when his arms are out he can lose a bit of blanket round the top.....also that's because is a little fidget bum lol

We got a great gift of a halo sleep sack swaddle. They are fleece and you have the option to swaddle or not. Loved it so much we bought the next size up online. We also use grobags which are really handy.

Just googled these and they look perfect! Maybe they do them in adult sizes too?!
