Yes some ladies do get it. Be careful it doesn't turn in to thrush. I had it terrible with my 2nd. Dont know what you would do to prevent it though.

i've had a yellowish discharge from day 1, had swabs took every 6wks n everythings been normal apart from at the beginnin as i kept gettin thrush due to antibiotics. Its normal to get an increase in discharge durin pregnancy as your hormones play a huge part in the pH levels of your body. If it starts to smell or if u get any pains in your lower abdomen then c your gp or midwife to have swabs taken. It cud b nothin but it cud b thrush which needs treatin as it can cause bleedin and if u still have it near the end of your pregnancy then baby cud get it orally. Or it cud b bacterial vaginosis (BV) which needs treatin with antibiotics. Any infection or virus can b harmful to the baby, take it from me, my daughter was stillborn at 24wks due to toxoplasmosis and my son was stillborn at 24wks due to chlamydia and now i'm 33wks n have parvovirus, luckily upto now everything has been ok but i have scans every 4wks n tests every 2wks n baby needs tests wen he/she arrives. Its better to b safe than sorry. Hope alls well and good luck :) x x
